Urmila Chowdhury, MA (English), B.Ed(English), CELTA (Cambridge Certification for teaching English to Adults as a foreign language)

Urmila Choudhary has over twenty-five years of experience in teaching English. She worked for 15 years at The Shri Ram School, New Delhi, where she was teacher, academic coordinator and finally the Vice Principal for five and a half years. She now works as a consultant for various educational entities, in the areas of teacher training, curriculum development, ELT and DIE (Drama in Education). She is a consultant to the Ahvaan Trust for Education, where she is working on a Professional Development Program for Teachers at Delhi Government Schools. The program aims to help teachers develop better skills in teaching Mathematics and Languages, and acquire qualities of leadership and a greater commitment to their profession, so that they can inspire their pupils to come out of school with better values, heightened responsibilities and a commitment to responsible citizenship. She also serves as Program Adviser, Scholarships and Grants at The Tiara Charitable foundation, a privately owned philanthropic entity.

abhaAbha Mehta

Mrs. Abha Mehta is a French linguist with over twenty-five years of experience of teaching languages. She spent many years teaching French at Delhi Public School, East of Kailash. She teaches at leading Management Institutes and has authored 6 books and CD’s for beginners of the language. The President of India Shri K. R. Narayanan released her books. She wants to use her expertise creating audio CD’s to teach languages to enhance Hello,Seekho’s curriculum.


taptiTapti Singhi

Mrs. Tapti Singhi has more than thirty years of teaching experience in the field of Social Sciences and English. She was one of the founding principals of Adamas School, Kolkata. She now serves as an educational consultant to South City International School, Kolkata and Sarala Birla group of schools. Her passion is to find innovative methods to improve classroom teaching and she enjoys taking workshops on the same.



shefaliShefali Shah

Shefali is India’s only practicing LSLS Cert. AVT professional. With over 25 years work experience, she has a thorough understanding of typical development of audition, language, cognition, speech and communication in infants and young children. She is the Director of Sound Steps, an early intervention centre committed to the management and care of babies and young children with hearing loss so that these children may listen and talk like other children their age.

Shefali has applied her knowledge of typical development and her insights working with babies and young children deprived of language, to develop a sustainable, age and stage appropriate curriculum for Hello, Seekho. Shefali obtained her Masters’ degree (M.E.D.) from the Smith College-Clarke School Teacher Education programme, U.S.A. and taught in Upper School at the Clarke School for one year. She has been invited to write on her subject and has also contributed to an international publication in her field.
